About.

Ray Song is a researcher focusing on Multimodal Sensing, Digital Fabrication and Human-Robot Interaction (HRI). Ray will join Multisensory Intelligence research group as a graduate student at MIT Media Lab in Fall 2025, advised by Prof. Paul Liang and Prof. Wojciech Matusik. Ray received his B.S. in Computer Science at the University of Washington (UW), working with Prof. Siddhartha Srinivasa, Prof. Maya Cakmak, Prof. Yiyue Luo.

Ray is the founder of the DXARTS Collective, a community of student artists advocating for the advancement of experimental media at the UW. Ray's creative/art work explores the creation of interactive systems that have multiple layers of meanings. His installations are not only playful on the surface but also thought-provoking, inviting viewers to and uncover hidden messages.
